A Novel Approach: Reinventing Traditional Approaches to Novel Studies
The Novel Approach offers a redesign to the traditional “one novel and worksheet packet” practice, by reframing student-led literature discussions to include students in the selection and decision-making process, increasing opportunities for wide reading of integrated, multimodal texts, richer dialogue with peers, innovative ways to respond in writing, and fostering opportunities for sustained motivation.
